How Do I Update My Payment Method?

By default, your payments are processed automatically through your primary bank account. This article covers how to check which account is set for AutoPay, how to make a one-time payment from a different account, and how to update your AutoPay to an account other than your primary account.

Looking to update your primary bank account instead? Learn more about the difference here or how to change your primary account here.

How to Check Your AutoPay Payment Method

To see which account is currently being used for your scheduled payments:

  1. Open the Possible app and tap the menu.
  2. Go to Account Management.
  3. Look for the account with the AutoPay tag. That's the account your scheduled payments are coming from.

Keep in mind that your AutoPay account and the account you received your funds on may be different. Even if your loan or advance was deposited to a debit card, your repayments might still be set to process through your bank account. If you'd like to update your AutoPay method, follow the steps below.

How to Make a One-Time Payment with a Different Account

You can make a one-time payment from a different account directly in the Possible app:

  1. Open the Possible app and go to your loan or advance.
  2. Tap Make a Payment.
  3. Select the account you'd like to pay from.
  4. Confirm the payment details and submit.

Note: A one-time payment does not change your AutoPay account. Future scheduled payments will still come from your current AutoPay account.

How to Update Your AutoPay Payment Method

You can update your AutoPay account in the app if the new account is a linked bank account. If you want to use a manually added account or debit card as your AutoPay method, contact Customer Support for help.

To Update Autopay to a Linked Bank Account

If the account is already linked in the app:

  1. Open the Possible app and go to Account Management.
  2. Tap the pencil icon next to the linked account you want to use for AutoPay.
  3. Select Set As AutoPay Account and confirm.

If the account isn't linked yet, add it first by following the steps to add a linked bank account. During the linking flow, you'll also see the option to set it as your primary account right away, if your primary account and AutoPay payment account were the same, it will update your AutoPay account when you make it your new primary account. Learn more about primary accounts here.

To Update Autopay to a Manually Added Account or Debit Card

  1. Add the account in the app if you haven't already.
  2. Instructions to manually add an account
  3. Reach out to customer support and request that the new account be set as your AutoPay payment method.

Make sure to complete this update with Customer Support before a payment begins processing. We recommend reaching out at least 3 business days before your scheduled payment date. Once processing starts, it can't be redirected. If a payment is already in process, Customer Support can still update your AutoPay account for future payments.
